Youth Leadership Program Curriculum Development Now UnderwayCategory: Programs

AALI-SA is currently developing a Youth Leadership Program designed to stimulate, motivate, educate, and culturally enrich the lives of young people in our community.

The program will focus on six core areas of development:

Leadership Development — Building confidence, communication skills, decision-making abilities, and servant leadership principles.

Personal Growth & Responsibility — Developing self-discipline, accountability, goal-setting skills, and a strong work ethic.

Cultural Enrichment — Exploring African American history, heritage, traditions, and contributions while strengthening cultural identity and pride.

Academic & Career Readiness — Encouraging academic excellence, college and career exploration, financial literacy, and lifelong learning.

Community Engagement — Promoting civic responsibility, volunteerism, and meaningful service to the community.

Mentorship & Relationship Building — Connecting participants with mentors, professionals, and community leaders who provide guidance throughout their leadership journey.

The program is designed as a continuous pathway from elementary through high school, allowing participants to develop progressively through age-appropriate experiences and milestone achievements.

Additional details will be shared as the program continues to take shape. If you are interested in supporting or volunteering contact Gerald Butler at ggbutler@att.net.
