OUR MISSION

ABOUT AALI-SA

Developing Leaders. Strengthening Community.

The African American Leadership Institute of San Antonio is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to empowering African American leaders and advancing our community through training, mentorship, and meaningful engagement.

To empower African American leaders through training, mentorship, and community engagement — to foster economic, political, and social advancement — and to develop the strategic partnerships that make leadership growth possible.

OUR STORY

More Than 20 Years of Legacy

The African American Leadership Institute of San Antonio was established with a clear and enduring purpose: to build a pipeline of strong, capable African American leaders who are equipped to shape the future of San Antonio and beyond.

With over two decades of history behind us, AALI-SA has served as a trusted convener — bringing together emerging professionals, established executives, civic leaders, and community advocates under one roof. Our alumni network spans industries and institutions across the city, and our graduates continue to serve in leadership roles throughout San Antonio's public, private, and nonprofit sectors.

In 2025, AALI-SA entered an exciting phase of renewal and growth — reactivating our membership, launching new programming, and building the infrastructure to serve our community at a higher level. We are more focused than ever on delivering meaningful impact through events, education, and strategic partnership.

AALI-SA is not just an organization. It is a room — a space where leadership, purpose, and impact intersect.
